BEYOND VAN GOGH ANANHEIM

The Immersive Experience

June 21, 2021 by Candace Shostak
A brand new, state-of-the-art Van Gogh exhibit is coming to the Anaheim Convention Center and you will want to get your tickets as soon as possible.
Multiple Van Gogh immersive experiences are popping up this year, perhaps due to the popularity of the scene in the much-discussed show, “Emily in Paris.” So what makes this one special?
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN VAN GOGH
“Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” features more than 300 of Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic artworks that appear, disappear, and flow across walls, floors and ceilings. They are brought to life with the help of over four trillion content pixels streaming his paintings through projectors and 3D lenses. You will be transported inside each masterpiece and get the feeling of being one with the swirls, brushstrokes; the art itself. The immersive experience is tailored to a symphonic score of classical and contemporary music, as well as word and thoughts written by Van Gogh himself.
The exhibition was designed by French-Canadian creative director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his Montreal-based Normal Studio. St-Arnaud has previously created imagery for Cirque du Soleil, Linkin Park, The Killers, and Justin Timberlake.
The exhibit is one hour long and guests will be required to wear face masks while walking through the exhibit, which allows for six feet of social distancing. There are also separate entrance and exit directions, hand-sanitizing stations, and increased cleaning practices on high-touch surface areas.

“Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” opens on July 20th and runs through September 6th.
