The Nowell Family Foundation is celebrating what would have been Bradley Nowell’s 53rd birthday with a special event. Nowell is by far one of the LBC’s favorite sons who is beloved worldwide. His work and music with Sublime speak for itself and it’s time to pay him homage.
This Saturday, February 20, you can catch a FREE live stream concert event with some of the bands that were featured on “The House That Bradley Built” compilation album that came out in July of 2020.
The musical guests will include Huemen, Ballyhoo!, Cydeways, Fayuca, Authority Zero’s Jason DeVore, Joe Sambo, Kash’d Out, Kyle Smith, Mike Pinto, Passafire, Roots of Creation, Shane Hall, The Elovaters, The Expendables, The Movement, The Supervillains, The Line, Tropidelic, Tunnel Vision, and Vana Liya.
Then on Monday, February 22 (Bradley’s actual birthday), The Nowell Family Foundation will be holding a “Day of Giving.” Bradley’s sister Kellie told us, “As a way to honor Brad’s memory with a gift for him going towards Bradley’s House, we thought since people are always asking how they could help, when our biggest need right now is money and awareness, so we figured this would be a good time to do both. We put some merch bundles and posters from the live stream together on our website to help encourage people to give a little bit.”
Some of the items available are pins from the compilation album, pins that glow in the dark, special pins from “A Day of Giving” with the date, socks, and even some PopSockets!
On the February 18 edition of Bradley’s House Podcast, they released a special episode featuring Jakob Nowell (Bradley’s son) in honor of the “Day of Giving.” You can find it on any streaming service and YouTube under Bradley’s House Podcast.
The live stream event kicks off on Saturday at 1 pm PT / 4 pm ET, and you can stream it on Rootfire & Law YouTube Channels or on Surf Roots TV (check your local listings).
