Brian Setzer is set to release a solo album this year and gave us a taste with the first single, “Checkered Flag.” “Gotta Have the Rumble” will be his first solo album in seven years and will hit us on August 27th, with a vinyl edition to be in stores in the fall.

Setzer said of the album title, “Obviously, it’s a reference to my motorcycles and hot rods, something that hasn’t changed since I was 15 years old.” With his own style of rockabilly, swing, and rock, Setzer has been giving us amazing music for decades.

As the front-man for the Stray Cats and Brian Setzer Orchestra, he has proven himself to be an iconic singer, songwriter and guitarist. The three-time Grammy winner also dropped the video for the first single, “Checkered Flag.”
“Gotta Have the Rumble” features 11 tracks and all were written or co-written by Setzer and recorded in Minneapolis and Nashville.
