DOOBIE BROTHERS 50th ANNIVERSARY TOUR EXTENDED

EXTENDED

April 13, 2023 by M.B. Edwards
Good news for Doobie fans in the SoCal region – an additional date has been added to the 50th Anniversary Tour, leaving you with another opportunity to “Listen to the Music.” On June 7th, The Doobie Brothers will be at the Yaamava’ Casino and tickets are now on sale.
After nearly 25 years, The Doobie Brothers will finally be playing together onstage and touring the world. In 2019, the band did a surprise announcement about their reunion, but the pandemic put a halt to their plans. In the meantime, they’ve found even more reasons to celebrate and are honoring their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Despite being together for decades, The Doobies have accomplished something most bands find elusive: keeping the core band together, more or less. Founding member Tom Johnston is on guitars and vocals, as is founder Patrick Simmons; the iconic Michael McDonald is on keyboard and vocals; and John McFee does a little bit of everything, but mostly guitar. Interestingly, Simmons is the only member to appear on all of the band’s albums, including their “Best of the Doobies,” which sold more than 10 million copies.

The legendary Northern California band has an enormous catalogue of songs for their fans to choose from, ranging from blues and bluegrass, to country and R&B, to good ole’ rock ‘n’ roll!

With original hits released back in 1971, all the way to those found on their newest album, “Liberte,” fans can expect them perform favorites like “Takin’ it to the Streets,” “Black Water,” “Listen to the Music,” “What a Fool Believes,” “It Keeps You Runnin,’” “Jesus is Just Alright With Me,” “Minute by Minute,” and “China Grove.”

US tour dates are mainly focused around the Midwest and East Coast, and stretch between June and October. OCMN hopes to catch up with them in North Carolina and at Yaamava’ to give you a full report. If you need to see them for yourself, tickets are on sale now!
