If you love legendary bands, life’s been good to you. For Eagles fans, it just got a little better. These rock icons recently announced they were adding on a handful of tour dates to their 2022 Hotel California Tour, based off their 26x platinum album of same name.
Five dates were added in February and March 2023 with three of those being in sunny California – such a lovely place (such a lovely place).
Every tour date will include a live performance showcasing an accompanying choir and orchestra of the classic hit song “Hotel California.”
In addition to an epic display of one of the greatest and most famous songs, by far the band’s most iconic, fans will get to experience a plethora of their greatest hits, such as “Victim of Love” and “Try and Love Again,” during each concert date. Their next two shows will be in St. Louis and Des Moines. They won’t hit California again until February 21st when they play in San Jose at the SAP Center.
When the Eagles formed in Los Angeles in 1971, who could imagine they would become one of the most successful musical artists of the 1970s and beyond. The band currently consists of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmit, and Vince Gill. The band, and fans, still mourns the loss of founding member Glenn Frey, who passed away from health-related illnesses in January 2016.

It was Linda Ronstadt and her manager John Boylan who first recruited Glenn Frey and Don Henley to her band, but Frey and Henley wanted to forge their own path. They approached Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon, who agreed to join their team. The four-member band played their first show together at a small club in Aspen, Colorado under the name Teen King and the Emergencies.
Since then, the Eagles have gone on to sell more than 200 million records worldwide, and they have collected six Grammy Awards, five number-one singles, and six number-one albums. In 1998, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some of their chart-topping songs include “Take it Easy,” “Best of My Love,” “New Kid in Town,” “Hotel California,” “Heartache Tonight,” and “One of these Nights.”
This legendary rock band will give their fans a phenomenal three-hour performance and will include everything a die-hard Eagles fan would expect or dream of. They do not skimp on the theatrics, presentation, lights, vocals, or energy. This tour is really a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will give you a “Peaceful Easy Feeling” while you’re living “Life in the Fast Lane.”
OC Music News will catch this top-selling act at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on November 17th and report back. If you haven’t had already made the effort to see the Eagles perform their Hotel California Tour, you still have a dozen chances left.
