There are a few bands that come to town that can light up the stage, and Fall Out Boy is one that brings the heat. No really, I caught them at Dodger Stadium on the Hella Mega Tour and they had a pyrotechnic show that amazed. Now, Fall Out Boy will play two nights at one of LA’s newer concert venues that is quickly becoming a favorite, Banc of California Stadium [“BMO.”]
They call Illinois their home, but Fall Out Boy feels comfortable on any stage anywhere on the planet. The band features a solid lineup with Patrick Stump on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Pete Wentz on bass, Joe Trohman also on lead guitar, and rounding out the core is Andy Hurley.
Together, they remain a high-energy and fan favorite band with hits, “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” “Dance, Dance,” “Uma Thurman,” “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race,” “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.” That’s a small sample of the songs that make the whole world sing.
The word on the street is we just might be treated to their latest, a cover of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”
The band has been traversing the country on their So Much for (Tour) Dust run of fantastic shows. The tour hits 20-cities, but the L.A. leg is much anticipated with teenage angst paving the way with their fans.
Depending where you are for the Fall Out Boy Tour, you get different support acts. Some of the openers for the LA dates include Bring Me the Horizon, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Four Years Strong, The Academy Is…, Royal & the Serpent, Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and Carr.
For BMO on July 2nd we’ll get New Found Glory, and for the July 3rd show we’ll get The Academy is…
No matter which show you check out, it will be the talk of the summer concert season.
