The Foo’s are back! The Hall of Famers recently played a gig at The Canyon Club in Agoura followed by a monster show at Madison Square Garden where Dave Chapelle helped usher in our new concert era. It was the first full capacity concert there since COVID hit – and the band is not taking a break now.
Our favorite band on the planet is set to play several festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Bottlerock over the next few months. Add a few dates here and there… no matter what coast you’re from, the Foo Fighters will only be a concert venue away!
For those of us on the West Coast, we just got the news that Grohl and company will be playing the Forum in Inglewood on July 17th! With a neon green poster proclaiming “There will be rock!,” Foo Fighters will keep their new “full capacity return” trend going as this will be the Forum’s first full-capacity show since live shows shut down.
In a statement from Forum management, they said “As we prepare to reopen the Forum to fans, the health and safety of our guests, artists and staff is our top priority.” They went on to say “We’re excited to welcome back fans for live music, and couldn’t be more thrilled to kick off our return with members of our Forum family, Foo Fighters.”
Forum officials said that fans purchasing tickets must acknowledge that they will be fully vaccinated or will have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours of the concert.
Concert-goers will be able to “self- attest” that they have been vaccinated or received a negative test when they enter the venue. It should also be noted that all attendees will be required to wear face masks, per county health regulations.
From opening the year by playing the presidential inauguration, to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now, bringing back our “normal” shows, 2021 is shaping up to be the year of the Foo!
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, with information available.
