I’m back with another movie pick of the week for our That’s Entertainment series. This time it’s the new flick, “Godzilla vs. Kong.”
First of all, it was so great to be IN a movie theater again! Hopefully we will all be doing this more.
As for “Godzilla vs. Kong,” I had an absolute blast watching the two most famous Kaiju go at it head to head. Pound for pound, just a fantastic action popcorn flick. If you enjoyed the other Godzilla or Kong films (“Godzilla,” “Kong: Skull Island,” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”), then you’ll love this movie.

This final piece of the four part MonsterVerse arc was directed by Adam Wingard and has a really cool cast that includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, and Kyle Chandler.
Of course, the effects are fantastic, plus it has a solid story and I loved every second of it. I hope they create another series for the MonsterVerse and we keep getting more!

As for the business side of the film, it has already topped 60 Million domestically, making it the most successful box office haul of the pandemic. For Warner Bros. Films, they currently hold the distinction of having four of the top five highest-grossing films over the pandemic. Not too shabby!
