JANE’S ADDICTION IN L.A.

Jane’s Addiction

Coming to the Hollywood Palladium
January 20, 2023 by Traci Turner
After spending fall of 2022 touring with Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction is preparing to hit the road again for their own mini-jaunt. A handful of dates have been announced with SoCal getting a show at the Hollywood Palladium on March 9th.
The Smashing Pumpkins’ Spirits on Fire tour was a big deal for Jane’s fans as it was the first time in more than a decade that original bass player Eric Avery would be included. Unfortunately, guitarist Dave Navarro had to sit the tour out due to his long COVID issues. Troy Van Leeuwen from Queens of the Stone Age jumped in and did a fantastic job when OC Music News caught the show.
Should you decide to go, you can expect to see them do favorites “Jane Says,” “Stop!,” “Mountain Song,” “Three Days,” and of course, “Been Caught Stealing.”

While Avery and Van Leeuwen were out with front-man Perry Farrell, and drummer Stephen Perkins, Navarro was able to work on new music for the band. Apparently the tour added to the excitement of creating new music for everyone. Avery stated, “This time out, there was a real connection between the people onstage that I haven’t felt since 1986. We were all pulling in the same direction, and it was surprising in many ways. I think it’s really important for us to write new material.”

HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM

March 9th, 2023

Although new stuff is on the way, 2023 is also the 35th anniversary of the band’s debut album, “Nothing’s Shocking.” A perfect time for the reunion shows!
Tickets are on sale now for the Jane’s shows, plus they have some Lollapalooza dates plotted out. We have to wait a bit to see if Chicago’s Lolla is included in those dates…
