How much more news can we handle out of Judas Priest? Just in time for the holiday season, Judas Priest is giving gift after gift to their fans with the recent announcement of their 2024 US tour in honor of their newest album, “Invincible Shield.”
The upcoming tour kicks off in April and Judas Priest will have one of the most successful heavy metal bands to come out of Sweden alongside them, Sabaton.
Last month, while onstage at Power Trip, Judas Priest announced “Invincible Shield,” which is set to be released on March 8th. (Mark your calendars – or better yet, go online and preorder your copy!)
It’s been a few years since Rob Halford, Ian Hill, Glenn Tipton, Scott Travis, and Richie Faulkner – better known as Judas Priest – have given us new hits, and if you recall, their last album, 2018’s “Firepower,” was their highest charting album in the US. Not only that, but it was also their first top-ten album in the UK.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have become legends thanks to songs like “Breaking the Law,” “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin,’” “Painkiller,” “Living After Midnight,” “Metal Gods,” “Lightning Strike,” “Evil Never Dies,” and “Flame Thrower.” After 50 years as a band – and after the pandemic getting in the way – they were finally able to do their 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour last year.
One of the reasons we’re so excited about this new album is thanks to their new single, “Panic Attack,” which is currently streaming. Another single, “Trial by Fire,” will debut this Friday.
If you haven’t already listened to their new single, not only are you missing out, but you ARE MISSING OUT! When it starts off, it makes you feel like you’re in the front row of one of their concerts before it goes into shredding solos and showcasing Halford’s powerful voice. Faulkner says we can expect “a few more twists and turns on this record.”
The “Invincible Shield” tour kicks off in April and currently has 20 dates scheduled with stops in the Midwest and East Coast.
So far, no dates have been set for California, but I imagine more will be added soon. If you haven’t been to a Judas Priest concert, now is the time to go – tickets are on sale now! They are known for their legendary performances, which are full of adrenaline, insanely loud, and full of their hits.
