Summer is here and the concert season has begun! But the end of summer won’t mean the end of show as plenty of bands will be entertaining us this autumn, including Southern California favorite, L7.
This tour is adroitly titled The In Your Face Tour and runs September through October. With recent successful shows at The Glass House in Pomona, and the Fremont Club (and Punk Rock Bowling) in Vegas, L7 is ready to take names and get in our face again.
Best known for killer songs like “Pretend We’re Dead,” “Wargasm,” “Shitlist,” “Mr. Integrity,” and more recently, “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago,” L7 defines an era that we just can’t get enough of. The girls are fire onstage with Donita Sparks on guitar and lead vocals, Suzi Gardner also on guitar and vocals, Jennifer Finch on bass, and Demetra Plakas slapping the skins.
Recently lead singer Sparks told us that they love the fact that everyone remains excited to see them perform, and they feed off the energy that their fans display. With new music in the works, you just never know what you will hear these days at an L7 show, and that makes it even cooler to check out these ladies from Los Angeles.
It’s no surprise L7 loves playing live gigs, and for this tour, it will be smaller venues. Trust me, this is a tour you want to check out. The band rolls into town on October 2nd at the Venice West, then on October 3rd they will land at the House of Blues San Diego. If you are feeling adventurous, check them out at Pappy & Harriet’s on October 7th.
Since L7 was on break for a while, hopefully they will extend their tour. Until we know this to be fact, get out and see this epic band!
