The long-awaited OMD livestream (YOU ME & OMD) is officially upon us AND we will be seeing them in person soon!
YOU ME & OMD will take place Saturday June 19th, and we will finally see and hear the band perform selections from “Architecture & Morality,” the album that gave us “Souvenir,” “Joan of Arc,” and “Maid of Orleans.” They will also play favorites like “Electricity,” “Enola Gay,” “Locomotion,” “So In Love,” “Secret,” and “If You Leave.”
The livestream will provide aid to OMD’s hard-working crew whose income was severely damaged by the 2020 lockdowns. The ongoing pandemic – including OMD’s front-man Andy McCluskey testing positive for COVID – affected this livestream multiple times, but thankfully things are under control and events can resume.
We spoke with McCluskey last year and he was passionate about bringing awareness to the crews responsible for the tours that make us music fans so happy. “We are reliant on our crew,” he said. Calling crew members “family,” he said bands and their tour crew “are a chain and if one link breaks, it fails.”
OMD 2021
In further exciting news, OMD today announced they will tour North America soon. Next week they will announce the cities and dates, but McCluskey told us to expect a CA date or two.
Now, tying these things together is the fact that you can order the livestream and receive a code for a presale to that tour. You were going to order the livestream anyway, right? Get your ticket, presale code, plus some special march now.
YOU ME & OMD will take place on June 19th at 9 p.m. UK time (1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET).
