There’s a saying that anything that was once in style, goes out and will eventually come back, or something along those lines.
Not sure if this band ever went out of style, but they have been flying under the radar. That is until last year when they did a handful of dates.
So who is this band that has warmed itself up to the cockles of our collective hearts? Well, Jane says it’s Perry Ferrell’s other band, Porno For Pyros!
If you need a refresher, the band is led by Jane’s Addiction front-man Perry Farrell and drummer, Stephen Perkins.
The band exploded onto the scene with their mega-smash hit “Pets,” and now they are looking to set out on their first proper tour since ’97.
Pornos For Pyros will hit the road October 8th in Wheatland, California and visit a little bit of everywhere USA.
If you happen to live in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Dallas, the band will be in your area.
They will wrap up the tour in Austin, Texas on November 20th.
For the locals, they will play the Wiltern on October 13th. The tour will feature the 30th anniversary of their landmark eponymous debut album.
If you are wondering, the answer is yes… the band will include the sights and sounds of guitarist Peter DiStefano and bassist Martyn LeNoble.
