ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES 2023

ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME

2023 | THE NOMINEES

February 1, 2023 by Traci Turner
The newest batch of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees were announced today and now comes the hard part… deciding who to eliminate!
The possible inductees include Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon.
This is the first time on the nomination list for Crow, Elliott, Joy Division/New Order, Lauper, Michael, Nelson, The White Stripes and Zevon. Rage Against the Machine and Kate Bush were on the list last year, but failed to make the cut. This is the first year of eligibility for Missy Elliott and The White Stripes.

In order to be eligible for induction, artists’ first single or album must have been released 25 years ago or earlier. A group of more than 1,000 people in the music industry will vote on which artists will secure their induction.

The final selections will be announced in May and the ceremony will take place in the fall.

Fans are also encouraged to vote for their favorites.
Congratulations to the nominees!
