Roxy Music has just announced a 50th anniversary tour – their first tour in 11 years. The “More Than This” band will launch the celebratory trip on September 7th, and will make a stop in L.A. at The Forum on September 28th. This marks their first US dates since 2003 and St. Vincent will support on most dates.
Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson will be on stage together for the first time since 2011’s For Your Pleasure tour. The sold-out tour received incredible reviews and we expect the same in 2022.
Formed in 1972, Roxy Music has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and remains as one of the most influential bands of the alt-rock movement. “More Than This” is a timeless classic and Roxy Music has maintained their blend of music, fashion, and art in their vision over the decades. Along with “More Than This,” “Avalon,” “Love is the Drug,” “Dance Away” and “Over You” continue to be staples on flashback weekends and music stations.
The band is also releasing anniversary editions of their albums throughout 2022. Each of their eight studio albums will be reissued as “special anniversary editions with a new half-speed cut, revised artwork and a deluxe gloss laminated finish.”
