In an interview with Howard Stern today, Sammy Hagar announced The Best of All Worlds Summer 2024 tour. Hagar will be joined by Michael Anthony (bass, backing vocals), Jason Bonham (drums), and Joe Satriani (guitar). These heavyweights will bring Loverboy along for the ride.
Sammy Hagar is one of the most accomplished lead singers and songwriters in rock music. Earning 25 platinum albums, a Grammy award, and induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hagar has also been the lead singer for Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and more recently, The Circle – all of which have included his tourmates.
The tour will be packed with Sammy Hagar’s hits that span the last four decades. Certainly we can expect to hear “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Mas Tequila,” “When It’s Love,” “Finish What Ya Started,” “5150,” “Your Love is Driving Me Crazy,” “Best of Both Worlds,” “Poundcake,” “Sexy Little Thing,” “One Way to Rock,” “Right Now,” “Eagles Fly,” and more.
Hagar has been joined by Michael Anthony in everything – Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and The Circle – so it’s safe to say they get along!
Anthony came to fame as the bassist and backing vocalist for Van Halen (even before the Hagar days) and also holds a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Joseph Satriani is known as an incredible guitarist on his own, having won 15 Grammy nominations and selling more than 10 million albums.
He has previously worked with Hagar in Chickenfoot as well.
And finally, Jason Bonham has been making a name for himself as a drummer, performing in place of his late father, John Bonham, with the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. As for his past with Hagar? He is part of The Circle.
Since 1979, Loverboy has been playing for audiences with high energy, helping them sell 10 million albums. Original members Doug Johnson (keyboards) and Matt Frenette (drums) are joined by Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve (bass) and are ready to entertain fans with their songs “Keep it Up,” “Get Lucky,” “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “Hot Girls in Love,” and the oh-so-classic “Working for the Weekend.”
The 28-day tour will begin in July in Florida and finish in August in St. Louis. Los Angeles gets a stop at Kia Forum on August 19th.
Pre-sales begin today at 10 a.m. local time and general sales begin Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
