STEVIE NICKS NO RUMORS

No Rumors – It’s Time For

STEVIE NICKS

April 17, 2023 by M.B. Edwards
No “Rumours” here – the “Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll,” Stevie Nicks is on tour and captivating fans with her songwriting and singing abilities.
The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Stevie Nicks is set to take the stage on May 12th in Raleigh, NC at the PNC Arena before making a stop or two in Tennessee, Florida, Illinois, as she makes her way to California. Billy Joel will accompany her on several of these stops.

Nicks is of course most notably known for her time with Fleetwood Mac where she sang alongside her then-partner Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, and John and Christine McVie. They created some of the greatest hit songs: “Landslide,” “Dreams,” “Gypsy,” and “Rhiannon.” The band would win the Grammy for Album of the Year with “Rumours” and it continues to be listed as one of the greatest albums of all time.

While “Gypsy” continues to be Nicks’ signature look and personal truth, she is a notable solo artist as well. “Edge of Seventeen” was deemed one of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone, and she supported Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers by performing “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” with Petty.

Not only is Nicks talented, she is a role model for fans and aspiring musicians like Harry Styles, Lorde, Taylor Swift, and Destiny’s Child. She even appeared in the music video “Bootylicious” where Destiny’s Child used her opening riff from “Edge of Seventeen.” She’s advocated for women’s rights and she does philanthropic work for wounded soldiers and those who serve our country through Stevie Nicks’ Band of Soldiers foundation.
Nicks is timeless and her music will continue to draw fans for generations to come. Her songs will continue to be covered by future artists. But in the meantime, you can see her live and singing her own songs by getting your ticket to her current tour. During her set, Nicks has been paying homage to her former band mate Christine McVie, and her longtime friend Tom Petty, both of whom left us too soon.
This “Gold Dust Woman” has a heart of gold. She is a legend. She is Stevie Nicks.
