While the Grammys are still on everyone’s lips, let’s talk about those Grammy winners known as The Flaming Lips. The psychedelic band will bring their unique performance to Orange County on March 7th when they stop at the House of Blues Anaheim.
After releasing “American Head” in 2020, The Flaming Lips famously performed inside inflatable bubbles as we all navigated our way through live shows during a pandemic. Since then, they have disposed of the bubbles, but no telling what waits for fans.
Hopefully the wait will include favorites like “My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion,” “All We Have is Now,” “Race for the Prize,” “Waitin’ for a Superman,” “Always There, in Our Hearts,” and of course, “She Don’t Use Jelly.” They’ve also been dropping covers from Madonna and Nick Cave into their sets.
The Wayne Coyne-led band was last in the area in November at The Wiltern, so now’s your chance to catch them closer to home. If the March 7th date isn’t for you, you can also try March 6th in Del Mar at the fairgrounds.
