While I typically write about ska and other music, I’m also a huge movie buff. This is my first story in my series “That’s Entertainment.”
Let’s talk about my movie pick of the week!
My very first movie pick for you is the fifth film in the DC Extended Universe, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Yes, it’s a four-hour movie, but it was a very fast four hours. In fact, when this sequel to “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” was done, I wanted more. We get our favorite superheroes – Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, and Cyborg – as they battle villains Darkseid and Steppenwolf.
As a DC fan, I was excited to see all my favorites together on the big screen and to the get the version the director wanted to deliver four years ago.

While the original “Justice League” was being filmed, Snyder had to drop off the production due to the death of his daughter. Joss Whedon took over director duties for the 2017 release and many fans would agree, he delivered a crappy, watered-down version.
After finding out the “Snyder Cut” existed, fans made noise to get it released. This version is definitely a fun movie with awesome tidbits throughout. It has Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Ray Porter, Ciarán Hinds, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto and J. K. Simmons.
The cast is fantastic, the story has been improved, and the films before make much more sense.
I say give it a watch and enjoy! It’s rated R for a few f-bombs and some violence, but I still think it’s ok for kids (but hey, that’s just me!).
