Orange County is known for many things; the House the Mouse Built, beautiful beaches, and insanely great bands. One of those great local bands just announced a show coming to the Kia Forum. Get ready for some metal mayhem with Avenged Sevenfold!
Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) has been putting out bone-crushing music since 1999, and they are just as intense today as they were on day one. Their new album, “Life Is but a Dream,” is due out June 2nd and the single “Nobody” is doing very well with their fans.
A7X today consists of lead singer M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance on rhythm guitar, Synyster Gates on lead guitar, Johnny Christ on bass, and Brooks Wackerman on drums.
The current lineup put breath into the catalog of hits: “Burn it Down,” “Chapter Four,” “Shepherd of Fire,” “Sidewinder,” “Coming Home,” “Second Heartbeat,” “The Stage,” “Hail to the King,” “A Little Piece of Heaven,” and of course, “Bat Country.”
The list of fan favorite hits goes on and on. Just like the Mouse that recently roared, A7X is an in-your-face metal experience you just have to experience to understand.
About the new album, the band said, “We’re thrilled to announce our new album, ‘Life Is But A Dream’… available June 2, 2023. Written and recorded over the span of four years, the album was inspired by the writing and philosophy of Albert Camus. Our good friend and brilliant artist, Wes Lang, encapsulated our theme of existentialism through visual art for the album packaging.”
Recently, the band announced two huge shows that are a must-see. They will be at the Kia Forum on June 9th and Madison Square Garden on June 23rd.
What’s just as cool is who is opening for A7X. The answer is split: for the Madison Square Garden show, the answer is Pussy Riot and Falling in Reverse; for the Kia Forum show, the openers are Falling in Reverse and Codefendants (possibly the biggest new act to keep an eye on!).
If you like high-energy, intense, and jaw-dropping bands, this is definitely the group for you.
