We’ve been waiting with the greatest anticipation for live music for the last year and a half, and finally, a true summer show season is upon us with one of the best punk tour lineups we’ve seen this decade.
Stacey Dee, front-women for the hit Fat Wreck Chords band, Bad Cop Bad Cop really hit gold when lining up this Arizona/Southern California tour putting Bad Cop Bad Cop on the bill with Venomous Pinks, The Last Gang, and MakeWar.
Kickass front-woman for the Venomous Pinks, Drea Doll, told us this feels like their first tour in decades. “Getting to tour again with our sisters in Bad Cop is nothing short of amazing. Getting to play live music after an 18-month hiatus seems unreal,” Doll said. “We can go back to how things were if we all do our part. Mask up and get a vaccination!” We can all feel that!
We caught up with the amazing Stacey Dee about this upcoming whirlwind tour, where Bad Cop Bad Cop has been, and where they are going. She said, “We were one of the bands that was on the road in Europe when the pandemic struck… we stuck it out until the official call was made by our agents for our safety. Luckily we got out just in the nick of time.” In fact, they missed getting stuck overseas by mere hours. They are happy to be able to play live shows again and are beaming with excitement about the next few days and this four-show tour.
She also let us in on a special surprise; if you bring your vaccination card or negative COVID test, the ladies of Bad Cop Bad Cop will have a little something special for you at their merch table. (Yes! There will be real band merchandise to purchase in person! We all love shopping online, but there’s just something special about buying the band shirt AT the show.) Dee explained that that BCBC will even have a few new items, including shirts and posters that everyone will love!
BAD COP BAD COP
The band is currently writing their new album and they might be recording it early next year, but for now – in addition to these four shows – this fall we can catch them live as they tour the East Coast with Anti-Flag. From what we’ve heard, tickets are selling out fast, so you better get yours if you’re in the area.
Dee also told us, “If you come to the shows, please be as safe as possible, please lookout for others, wear your mask, bring your vaccination card or negative COVID test. Let’s try to get past this together so we can play these shows for everyone.” Yes, a reminder that we are all in this together, thank you Stacey!
Since this Friday’s show is in Los Angeles County, there is currently a mask mandate for indoor events so please don’t forget yours!
BAD COP / BAD COP | TOUR BANNER
SoCal’s show for this tour is this Friday the 13th at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach, and doors open at 8:00 p.m. With their punk / modern / goth / vamp décor, this place is not your typical concert venue. The people are cool, the staff are polite, and there’s lots of space to move around. This will be an amazing show that you won’t want to miss out on!
