BOWLING FOR SOUP

Less Than Jake

June 1, 2022 by Todd Markel
Sometimes when two bands team up for a tour, it seems like a perfect match. Such is the case when Texan pop-punk veterans Bowling for Soup announced they would be heading out across the US this summer with their buddies from Florida, Less Than Jake. They described this trek as the “Hap-hap-happiest Summer tour EVER!” and are officially calling it the Back for the Attack Tour.

Bowling for Soup lead singer Jaret Reddick has been keeping himself fairly busy recently. In March, he released his own debut country album called “Just Woke Up,” and in April Bowling for Soup released their 11th studio album entitled “Pop Drunk Snot Bread.” Of course, the album is full of catchy tunes with tongue-in-cheek titles like “I Wanna Be Brad Pitt,” “Getting Old Sucks (But Everybody’s Doing It),” and “After All These Beers.”
Bowling for Soup is always a lot of fun watch and will undoubtedly play their classic hits “1985,” “Girl All the Bad Guys Want,” “Stacy’s Mom,” and “High School Never Ends.”
The ever popular Less than Jake will bring their unique blend of ska-punk with fan favorite songs such as “The Science of Selling Yourself Short,” “Automatic,” and “All My Best Friends are Metalheads.”
“Silver Linings” is their latest album and with songs like “The High Cost of Low Living” and “Lie to Me,” they showcase the familiar Less Than Jake sound that we all know and love.
Opening the local shows is Cliffdiver, who describe their sound as elevator-emo-pop. Check out their songs “Who Let the Hawgz Out?” and “Lost in Ikea” on YouTube.
The Back for the Attack Tour is coming to The House of Blues in Anaheim on September 3rd and The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles on the 4th of September. Tickets are available now at Live Nation.
