BRET MICHAELS of POISON

STADIUM TOUR

Poison Cancels Performance

Michaels Admitted to Hospital

July 1, 2022 by Traci Turner

When I arrived at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium last night for Motley Crue and Def Leppard’s The Stadium Tour, I was met with the news that one of the additional bands would not be performing.
Along with Motley Crue and Def Leppard, the mega stadium tour includes Poison, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and on some dates, Classless Act. Poison’s front-man Bret Michaels had been admitted to a local hospital shortly before they were due to be on stage. The remaining members of Poison announced the news to the crowd that was trickling in.
News outlets were reporting Michaels had been taking a COVID-related medicine which clashed with his diabetes, sending him to the hospital. Later that night, Michaels posted an apology and explained that it was an “unforeseen medical complication.” He did not elaborate on the details.

The tour is off tonight, but is expected to go on in Jacksonville, Florida tomorrow. No word yet on Poison’s plans for the night.
The Stadium Tour will hit SoCal in August, and I can say it was definitely a monster rock show! If you like hard rock music performed by legends, make plans to attend!
