BREW HO HO 2022

BREW HOHO 2022

Returns to Dana Point
November 25, 2022 by Kevin Gomez
Yes, I know we are still in November and the weather is far from frightening – it is a brisk 72 degrees as I write this – but it appears Christmas will come early! The fabulous Brew Ha Ha announced the highly anticipated Brew Ho Ho holiday festival will be returning for the first time since 2019! Brew Ha Ha Productions, the team behind Southern California’s biggest beer festivals – including Punk in Drublic and Boo Ha Ha – made the announcement, still fresh off the huge Punk in the Park Festival just a few weeks ago.
Brew Ho Ho took an unexpected hiatus over the past three years due to COVID, but it is back and this time gracing the beautiful view at Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point. The Park, located behind the Dana Point Library and along the Monarch Beach Golf Course, will serve as the backdrop for Santa and his merry elves as you look across the ocean.

The roster of cover acts makes the long-awaited return feel worth it. Brew Ha Ha is calling this year’s lineup “Merry Christmas and a happy New Wave.” Headlining this year will be Devotional, a tribute to Depeche Mode. In addition, The Band That Fell to Earth, a tribute to Davie Bowie will also be performing. Kicking off the day’s festivities will be Heart of Blonde, the Blondie tribute band.
Although Santa Claus will be on hand to hear about all the naughty boys and girls on his list, please be advised this is a 21+ event. As customary with any Brew Ha Ha event, there will be a free unlimited beer tasting from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. from some of the biggest and best breweries in the surrounding area. A Festival Pass does include a commemorative Festival Cup with prices beginning at $69, and for those not drinking, a Non-Sampling Pass is available for $29.
If you’ve ever been to one of Brew Ha Ha’s holiday festivals, you know they’re a blast and people love getting in the holiday spirit by dressing up – festive attire and ugly sweaters are highly encouraged!
