CAGE THE ELEPHANT

Cage The Benefit

Bread & Roses Winter Benefit Concert

January 21, 2021 by Thomas Ochoa

It’s true, in 2021 there “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked!” Luckily for us, Cage The Elephant has never been a band to rest on their laurels.

Hopefully now that the Covid nightmare is finally being attacked by a vaccine, bands like Cage are doing more and more to help us cope with the rigors of everyday life.
That is, until life gets back to some semblance of normality.

Bread & Roses is starting 2021 with a buzzworthy virtual benefit celebration featuring Grammy award-winning artist, Cage The Elephant. The event takes place January 30th.
The benefit’s focus is to generate the essential support needed for the elaborate work of the non-profit arts organization. Bread & Roses is responsible for producing free, live music and entertainment for Bay Area children, teens, adults, and elders who don’t have the ability to easily experience the uplifting power of the arts in any other way.
No doubt, 2020 was tough, but somehow Cage The Elephant persevered and won their second Grammy award for Best Rock Album with “Social Cues.” They’ve released four additional studio albums —their self-titled debut, “Thank You,” “Happy Birthday,” the Gold-certified “Melophobia,” and the Grammy-winning “Tell Me I’m Pretty.”
The full band will perform live from Nashville, Tennessee at the iconic Blackbird Studio.
Led by their charismatic front-man Matt Shultz, we just might hear some of their larger than life songs like “Come a Little Closer,” “Trouble,” “Cold Cold Cold,” “Shake Me Down,” “Ready To Let Go,” “Take It Or Leave It,” “Mess Around,” “Black Madonna,” “Around My Head,” “Cigarette Daydreams,” “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” and “Whole Wide World” just to name a few,
