Cali Vibes Fest

Adds to the Lineup

December 20, 2022 by Amber Crouch
It is hard to believe but we are just two weeks away from 2023, which means Cali Vibes is almost here! Once again we can expect an epic weekend from Goldenvoice February 17th-19th when Cali Vibes 2023 rolls back around.
Going off in Marina Green Park located in Long Beach, the event promises to top last year’s festivities. In doing so, they’ve finished up their lineup, and boy does it have people excited!

Friday assures some heavy hitters to start things off as 311, Stick Figure and Rebelution are named to headline the evening. There will be strong support throughout the day from acts such as the legendary Steel Pulse, metal mixing Iya Terra, and none other than Sister Nancy herself.

Set to headline on Saturday is the Long Beach native himself, Snoop Dogg, with Cypress Hill, and Method Man & Redman close behind. After last year’s incorporation of Wu-Tang, many of us are really looking forward to their style of “Cali Vibes.” Bringing more of the California beach ambiance to the day are bands like Dirty Heads, LBDA, Common Kings, and Kyle Smith pluggin’ in and setting the mood.

Sunday’s lineup is ramping up to close the festival out with some promising acts. Slightly Stoopid is always a great time with their heavy horn section on hand. Stephen Marley with the roots reggae along with the ever talented Tash Santana. There are so many others, but if we’re talking the embodiment of “vibes,” it would be none other than the musician closing out Sunday evening: Mr. Jack Johnson himself. An ideal candidate to wrap things up.
The festival is also having a special performance from members of Dirty Heads, Sublime with Rome, Iration, Common Kings, and Artikal Sound System to honor Andy J Chaves of Katastro who unfortunately is no longer with us. Katastro played last year’s festival and touched the hearts of fans, both old and new. Bands who have worked with him and befriended him over the years would like to show their appreciation with the fans they know loved him.
It will be another amazing weekend of music, so make plans to be there. Cali Vibes is slated for February 17th-19th at Marina Green Park in Downtown Long Beach.
