One of the “it” bands of 2022 is going back a few decades to pay homage to the legendary David Bowie. Today, Classless Act released the Double-A-Side single, “All the Young Dudes” and “Starman.”
The documentary about David Bowie, “Moonage Daydream,” has been nominated for an Academy Award along with a host of other prestigious honors. Classless Act wanted to pay tribute to the icon as well.
“When we learned there was a documentary about the creative, spiritual and musical journey of the great David Bowie, we wanted to pay our tribute, acknowledge his genius, his artistry, his influence and our gratitude to him,” said front-man Derek Day.
Last year was an incredible one for Classless Act. Along with Day, guitarists Dane Pieper and Griffin Tucker, bassist Franco Gravante, and drummer Chuck McKissock joined Dorothy on her US tour and released their debut album, “Welcome to the Show.” When the Dorothy tour wrapped, they hopped on the massive Stadium Tour with Motley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett. OC Music News caught them on the tour and we were extremely impressed!
This band proves that a sonic vision and cosmic fate can collide in the “hear” and now. Check out Classless Act’s “All the Young Dudes” and “Starman” on all digital service providers (iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.) today.
