COACHELLA 2022 TURNS TO RAGE

August 2, 2021 by Traci Turner

After a move from 2020 to 2021, and then landing on 2022, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has announced its headliners for next year and beyond.
When the massive festival returns, Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott will headline, with a third headliner still to be announced. Coachella also announced the headliner for 2023 will be Frank Ocean.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees Rage Against the Machine reunited in late 2019 for a world tour, which got postponed for the usual 2020 reason. They plan to resume in March 2022.
Travis Scott released the single “Franchise” in the fall of 2020 and he debuted new songs at Rolling Loud last month. His new album “Utopia” is due out soon.
Goldenvoice head honcho Paul Tollett told the Los Angeles Times the Coachella news was being announced early to offer hope to the fans after the pandemic canceled so much of our lives.
“Right now, it’s the Wild West,” he told the LA Times. “I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually they get to see everyone that we talked about.”
When more artists are announced, you know we will keep you posted!
