The rumors are TRUE and the wait is over. There’s another great show coming to the southland. This one will be insane in the brain to say the least. ALT ROCK / Hip-Hop / Punk-Funk and Rap legends Cypress Hill are playing two drive-in shows.
Just announced, you can see these icons on Friday, September 25th at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.. they’ll perform two live shows at the Ventura Fairgrounds’ “Concert In Your Car Series.”
Tickets start at $99 per car. They’re available online, tickets will not be sold in-person or on site. All tickets are General Admission based on color section and row number. The event is designed to give music fans the love show experience, while promoting safety through social distancing.
Then, they’ll play another show on Saturday, September 26th at the Rubidoux Drive-in. The early show starts at 6pm; the late show kicks off at 10pm. Same rules as the Ventura show will apply.
For those not familiar with this band, it’s an experience of sight, sound and of mind… their shows are literally outer limits. They’e best known for their insanely popular hits (No pun intended) “Insane in the Brain,” “Dr. Green Thumb,” “(Rap) Superstar,” “(Rock) Superstar,” “What’s Your Number,” and “Low Rider.”
The five member group formed in South Gate and hit the street in 1991. The band features a diverse lineup of iconic band-mates. The band includes B-Real, Sen Dog, DJ Muggs, Eric Bobo and Mix Master Mike. They came out strong with their Eponymous album and never looked back.
From day one, people took notice and their fans still can’t get enough of them. Going on 30 years of making music, Cypress Hill has done it all. Sonically, their records have gone platinum, multi-platinum while selling over 20 million worldwide. Not bad for the kids from South Gate.
Seriously, Cypress Hill puts on a show you don’t want to miss. You just might want to check this one out so you can make memories that don’t include the word Covid-19 or pandemic.
