Once again, another countdown from Depeche Mode brought exciting news! After selling out their original run of 10 North American tour dates, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore just added 29 shows in fall of 2023.
“Memento Mori,” the band’s first studio album since 2017’s “Spirit” and the passing of founding member Andrew Fletcher, is due for release March 24th. Last week saw the arrival of the first single and video, “Ghosts Again.”
The first leg of the tour sold out quickly and fans hoped additional dates would be announced. This new batch of North American dates begins September 29th in Austin and ends December 15th in Los Angeles. In fact, SoCal has THREE new dates: December 6th in San Diego (Pechanga Arena), December 10th in Inglewood/Los Angeles (Kia Forum – again, as they will play here in March), and December 15th in Los Angeles (Crypto.com Arena).
So far the opener has not been announced for these new dates, but the original 10 dates will have support from Kelly Lee Owens, except for the New York show, which will feature Stella Rose & the Dead Language.
Tickets for this new chunk of dates go on sale Friday, February 24th at 10 a.m. local time.
