Since their inception in 1978, these punk icons have done it all. In 2021, Descendents are proving they are still the one that bring the noise, the attitude and the voice of a generation! As most legends do, they are giving us everything we could possibly want: a tour, an album, and a story from the soundtrack of our life!
“They were like the punk rock Beach Boys.”- Mark Hoppus Blink-182
Back in the day when we made mixtapes, who didn’t have songs like “I’m the One,” “Everything Sux,” or “Bikeage,” on their most prized cassette tapes! Anyone who had teen angst and a voice turned to their sonic heroes for guidance, and this band delivered.
With an aggro-electric sound and intense stage show, Descendents captured the hearts and souls of those who didn’t just want to be heard, they wanted to be understood. That is a big reason their fans remain as devoted as they are.
Fast forward to 2021, Milo Aukerman and the gang will hit the road this summer with Rise Against and the Menzingers.
They’ll make a stop in SoCal on August 21st at Five Point Amphitheater. The outdoor venue in Irvine has great seating with awesome views, so we can enjoy some of those larger-than-life songs such as “Suburban Home,” “’Merican,” “Clean Sheets,” “Silly Girl,” and “Good Good Things.”
2021 TOUR BANNER
If you need more Descendents, you can catch them at the world-famous SOMA in San Diego on August 20th before they head off to mosh in other parts of the country.
Descendents remain a must-see band. The band features it’s core element with black-rimmed glasses sporting front-man Milo Auckerman who still stands tall behind the mic. There’s guitarist Stephen Egerton, bassist Karl Alvarez, and drummer Bill Stevenson. The band continues to pump out a jolting signature sound that is distinctly Descendents.
The guys have a new album coming out on July 23rd titled, “9th and Walnut.” The album will be available at all places you buy your music.
