Desert Daze has announced their lineup for 2022 and it will convince you to make the journey to Lake Perris. The festival’s 10th edition will be headlined by Tame Impala, Iggy Pop, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Other acts include Sky Ferreira, BADBADNOTGOOD, Chicano Batman, The Marias, JPEGMAFIA, Perfume Genius, Aldous Harding, plus many more.
Per their site, “Over the last decade, an idea became an experiment, an experiment a revision, suddenly a series, a ritual, and then something greater than the sum of its parts. Connecting many people through time, space and spirit. The curious, the convinced, and the reluctant became witnesses. Witnesses became visitors. Visitors left as passengers and returned with more. The ‘where’ or the ‘what’ becomes secondary to discovery, however many times you may need discovery to happen.” So no, this ain’t no boring show!
Tame Impala will celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Lonerism” by playing it in its entirety, and this will be Iggy Pop’s only North American show in 2022. As for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, they promise “an exclusive Southern California set.”
The venue itself features a lake, sandy beach, campgrounds with permanent restroom and shower facilities. Nestled against mountain ranges, the lake is available to everyone for swimming and lounging. The area will be illuminated by video artists and art installations, and will offer morning yoga, sound baths, and late-night sets.
Desert Daze happens September 30th through October 2nd in Lake Perris. Tickets are on sale now and start at $299, plus there are multiple upgrades available.
