Break out your Zig-Zag black wino shoes and flannels because it’s that time of year again: The third annual Dia de Los Deftones has been announced for this November and the lineup is looking nothing short of euphoric.
Set for November 5th at Petco Park in San Diego, supporting bands for Deftones include Turnstile, Phantogram, Freddie Gibbs, Audrey Nuna, Destroy Boys, Provoker, and Cold Gawd. This lineup is sure to be a killer time in an environment filled with “Deftones Familia,” Deftones beer courtesy of Belching Beaver, face paint, roses, and more black clothing in place than you realized was possible.
Deftones put on such a phenomenal show, if you weren’t a Deftones fans walking in, you sure as hell are a fan walking out. Before Deftones walks on stage, front-man Chino Moreno plays the same house music that the band is listening to backstage – usually a personal mix from the man himself so everyone can be on the same vibe. There is much attention to detail at these festivals and it shows!
Moreno said of the show this year, “We’re hyped to be bringing back Dia de Los Deftones this year. We take a ton of pride in curating it; it’s a chance for us to put forth and showcase some artists that we love and respect, and putting on an amazing day of music and culture for our fans. We’re excited to see everyone again out at Petco in November.”
