Earlier this month, ‘80s icons Duran Duran were announced as a nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Today they gave us even better news… They are coming to see us! The English foursome will play three nights at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
In honor of their 40-year career – and the Bowl’s centennial – Duran will play on September 9th, 10th, and 11th. The multi-platinum selling British band includes original members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, and Roger Taylor, and they promise special guests will appear.
Their announcement stated, “Performing songs from their most recent critically-acclaimed studio album, FUTURE PAST, together with all the hits, this event will mark a new and exciting chapter for the band.”
That means in addition to new songs from their 15th studio album like “Invisible,” we are sure to hear some favorites: “Planet Earth,” “Rio,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Come Undone,” “Girls on Film,” “Save a Prayer,” “The Reflex,” “New Moon on Monday,” “Notorious,” “Skin Trade,” and… about 15 more songs I can think of off the top of my head!
While tickets do not go on sale until May 3rd, Duran’s VIP fan community can score a presale on April 26th.
To get in on that action:
If the September shows won’t work, fear not! The band said more North American tour dates will be announced. Have Siri remind you to buy tickets for Duran Duran at the Hollywood Bowl when they go on sale May 3rd at 10 a.m.
