The three nights at Hollywood Bowl were not enough for the guys of Duran Duran and they will visit the rest of North America for their Future Past Arena Tour starting May 28th.
The English foursome continues to celebrate their 40-year career and their 15th studio album, “Future Past,” with a 26-date arena tour with both Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC joining them. The tour will hit the major cities and OC Music News plans to catch it in Nashville to give you a full report after it kicks off in San Jose. There are currently no NYC or LA dates listed, but they said those dates will be announced soon.
The multi-platinum selling, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame British band includes original members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor (oh hey my first crush), and Roger Taylor.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Le Bon said, “It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones, and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers. We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis, and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago.”
The gents plan to perform songs from their latest studio album, “Future Past,” plus favorites we love, like “Rio,” “The Reflex,” “Girls on Film,” “Wild Boys,” “Ordinary World,” “Planet Earth,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Come Undone,” “A View to a Kill,” “Save a Prayer,” and “New Moon on Monday.”
The day before they launch their tour, Duran will headline the Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, just in case you want to see them in wine country first.
Presales begin February 13th for Duran fans and Citi cardholders, and the general on sale is February 16th at 10 a.m. local time.
