DWARVES & THE QUEERS

at The DOLL HUT
Ocotober 13, 2021 by Kevin Gomez
Dwarves and The Queers return to Southern California as they play the Doll Hut in Anaheim on Saturday, October 16th. Both bands are fresh off playing killer sets at last month’s Punk Rock Bowling, and return to Orange County this Saturday night.

Dwarves have not been playing much since 2019, so fans of the Chicago band definitely do not want to miss this one. Other than their aforementioned set at PRB, the band will be playing the night before in San Diego at the Soda Bar. While the band as a whole has been a bit inactive lately, lead singer Blag Dahlia has been touring as a solo act and played earlier this summer along with Bad Cop/Bad Cop’s Stacey Dee.

The Queers are celebrating their 40th year, although lead singer and guitarist, Joe Queer is the lone remaining remember. They will no doubt be bringing their brand of Ramones core, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and song titles played at a breakneck speed, often clocking in under just a minute. The band is currently on a national tour which began in early September and will see them playing the night before with The Dickies at the Whisky.

Opening the night will be Bridget and the Nameless, Functional Lunatics, Room 7, The Subjector’s, Cursing Concrete, Twitching Fingers, and Death Machine 2. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
