The amazing concert announcements continue to roll out and Everclear has entered the chat. The “Santa Monica” gang is spending the summer of 2022 celebrating their 30th anniversary on the road with Fastball and The Nixons.
Everclear’s 30th Anniversary Tour honors not only the launch of the band, but also their full-length debut album, “World of Noise.” The out-of-print album will be brought into the here and now by getting the remaster treatment and made available for the first time on all digital music streaming platforms. The updated “World of Noise” will be available on June 10th.

“Three decades as a band is quite the reason for celebration,” stated front-man Art Alexakis. “I’m almost 60 years old. I’ve got MS. I’ve been through the ringer, but I’m still here. The music’s still here. Everclear is still here. Everclear is my band; it always has been. Its faces have changed, but the music stays the same. We’ve got a great band now, we’re tight as hell, we all love and respect each other, and we just go out and put on the best show we can every night. I’m blessed that I get to do this for a living and am truly grateful for my life.”
When I spoke with Alexakis last year, he gave me my new life motto: “If it is not fun, I don’t want to do it.” He made sure their 2021 Summerland tour was an incredible time for all, and we fully expect this tour to follow suit.
Through their 30 years, they have a massive catalogue to pull from: “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You a New Life,” “Everything to Everyone,” “Sparkle and Fade,” “Heroin Girl,” “You Make Me Feel Like a Whore,” “AM Radio,” “Wonderful,” “Volvo Driving Soccer Mom.” Seriously, no shortage of hits!
As for their tour mates, Fastball struck gold with “The Way” and recently released an EP, “Soundtrack.” They will be joining Everclear at Flannel Nation happening at the Port of Los Angeles on August 13th.
The Nixons are also a ‘90s staple and had an incredible win with “Sister.” I must confess this remains on my favorites playlist.
