They spent the summer together on the Summerland Tour, but that wasn’t enough: Everclear and Wheatus are keeping the bromance alive! The bands are hitting the West Coast and our local shows are oh-so-close.
We were able to see the bands during their summer tour and we definitely recommend you do as well. Both bands put on a great show, plus you know you can sing every word to every Everclear song!
When we spoke with Everclear front-man Art Alexakis earlier this year, not only did he give me my new life motto (“If it is not fun, I don’t want to do it.”), he told us he was happy to have the “weird, wild, wonderful Wheatus” on the tour with him. Obviously we can expect the songs we love from Everclear: “Santa Monica,” “Everything to Everyone,” “I Will Buy You a New Life,” “Heroin Girl,” “You Make Me Feel Like a Whore,” “Father of Mine,” and more.
As for Wheatus, they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Teenage Dirtbag,” plus enjoying touring with their idols of Everclear. Front-man and original member Brendan B. Brown told us he was thrilled to head out on Summerland, but “I’m going to have to figure out how to not be a fan dork on tour with them!”
Go grab your tickets for Everclear and Wheatus at Teragram Ballroom in L.A. on November 16th and The Grove in Anaheim on November 18th.
