Orange County just received some much-needed news! The end-all, be-all of ska-punk shows is coming to FivePoint Amphitheatre on September 24th with genre heavyweights, Flogging Molly and The Interrupters.
This tour is a battle royale of kick-ass bands that have deep-rooted fans throughout Southern California and beyond.
In one corner, we have Flogging Molly. The Los Angeles Irish-American Celtic punk band of Dave King, Bridget Regan, Dennis Casey, Matt Hensley, Nathen Maxwell, Spencer Swain, and Mike Alonso just rocked our St. Patrick’s Day with their annual show.
The band is forever endeared to the locals with hits “Drunken Lullabies,” “The Worst Day Since Yesterday,” “Requiem for a Dying Song,” and “If I Ever Leave This World Alive.”
In the other corner, we have L.A.-based sonic heroes and heroine, The Interrupters. It can be said they made ska cool again. This third-wave ska-monster hit it big out of the chute with “A Friend Like Me,” “Take Back The Power,” “By My Side,” “Haven’t Seen the Last of Me,” “Gave You Everything,” “Bad Guy,” and “She’s Kerosene,” plus their new single, “In the Mirror,” is killing it.
Over the last 36-months, The Interrupters have done it all. Their music has been used in movies, commercials, they have played mega-tours and yes, they were even on Kimmel! By any method of measurement we want to use, The Interrupters have arrived!
Aimee Interrupter, Kevin Bivona, Justin Bivona, and Jesse Bivona will drop their new album on August 5th and we cannot wait. For this tour, the band said, “We can’t wait to sing together, dance together and celebrate live music with everyone! See you all very soon!”
The undercard is equally as impressive. Another OC fan favorite, The Vandals are an institution in the punk community, and they draw out a very loyal following.
The band features a few punk legends in Dave Quackenbush, Joe Escalante, Warren Fitzgerald, and Josh Freese. Songs their fans will scream out loud and mosh to include “Urban Struggle,” “Lady Killer,” and “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and if we’re lucky, “So Long, Farewell!”
The opener is The Skints and they are more than ready to take on a stage of this magnitude.
Depending on which show you attend, you may catch Tiger Army too.

The tour blasts off in June and zigzags across the country, capping off at FivePoint on September 24th before they call it a tour in Vegas the next day.
