FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

DANCE FEVER with

Florence + the Machine

March 29, 2022 by Traci Turner
Florence + the Machine is back and will play a run of tour dates starting off in September. They will be stopping in SoCal for multiple dates.
The tour accompanies the release of the forthcoming and highly-anticipated album “Dance Fever.”
“Dance Fever” is Florence Welch’s fifth album and drops on May 13th. Welch has already released three songs from the album, “My Love,” “King,” and “Heaven is Here.”

It was recorded during the pandemic and “conjures up what Florence missed most in the midst of lockdown—clubs, dancing at festivals, being in the whirl of movement and togetherness—and the hope of reunions to come.”
The two SoCal stops for the tour are October 12th at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre in San Diego (with Sam Fender) and October 14th at Hollywood Bowl (support not announced).
A rotating list of support acts include Arlo Parks, Sam Fender, King Princess, Yves Tumor, Japanese Breakfast and Wet Leg.
In addition to the fall dates, Welch will play two intimate shows this spring, one of which is April 29th at the Los Angeles Theatre. Of course, it sold out in seconds.
