GARY NUMAN RETURNS

THE RETURN OF

GARY NUMAN

January 4, 2021 by Holly Jones
If you are a fan of sights and sounds that are intoxicating and creepy, and things that go bump in the night, this news should put a smile on your face: Gary Numan is coming back to the OC.
Numan will kick off his tour in Southern California, and it is guaranteed to electrify you. The Englishman who brought us such hits as “I Die, You Die,” “Cars,” and “Are ‘Friends’ Electric?” had to postpone his 2021 tour, but in 2022, he is back at it.
Numan’s latest album, “Intruder,” was released in 2021, meaning this will be our first chance at seeing new songs performed live.

Of course, with this being his 21st album, he has quite the collection to share!
With a Bowie- and Bauhaus-mystique about him, Numan has a very loyal following. Today he is considered a pioneer in the world of electronica, but fanfare among critics was not always present. His haunting vocals and signature sound won over his critics, and his Nine Inch Nails-esque bravado was delivered well before Reznor picked up a guitar. Numan remains a hero in the underworld of electro-goth; and like a vamp, he is living history.

You can see this icon of music at the tour opener at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on February 23rd, The Observatory North Park in San Diego on February 26th, or at The Observatory in Santa Ana on February 27th. Dust off those velvet capes and get yourself out to either (or all!) of these shows as it is a must-see event.
