The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have their core intact, with their signature agro-electric sound pulsating and ready to roar again. Just in time for the new tour.
The band features some familiar names; Axl Rose (lead vocals), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keys), Richard Fortus (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese (keys). Despite break ups and hiatuses of the past, the GNR of today are ready to be back together on the road and making a new album.
Fans remain as loyal as ever, screaming to hear songs like “Patience,” “November Rain,” “Live and Let Die,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Paradise City,” and “Welcome to the Jungle” just to name a few fan favorites.
For those fans, the long wait is over as to see them live as GNR announced their rescheduled dates for their US tour. The tour now takes off on July 31st in Hershey, PA, and rolls into town August 19th at Banc of California Stadium.
Opening for GNR in their touring debut will be Mammoth WVH. If that kind of sounds familiar, well it’s because it’s Eddie Van Halen’s son. Wolfgang is all grown up and quite an accomplished musician of his own right (which you probably know from his time performing with dad and Van Halen!). Don’t forget his appearances on Valerie’s show!
The band will play songs from their new, self-titled album. With the smash hits “Distance” and “Don’t Back Down” all over the airwaves, Wolfy is poised to show off his skills to the world.
