For those of us on this side of the pond, the world is finally making sense again as Keane is returning for a North American tour. It won’t hit these shores until 2024, but still… they are coming!
They were the best-selling UK artist of 2004, and now the British sensation returns, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, “Hopes and Fears,” which has sold over 10 million copies throughout the globe. The band will be releasing newly remastered versions of some of our favorite tunes off the album in May of 2024, and they will hit the road in support of the re-release.
Some of their signature songs that fans will scream for and sing along to include “Somewhere Only We Know,” “Everybody’s Changing,” “Crystal Ball,” “Bedshaped,” “Nothing in My Way,” “Is It Any Wonder,” and “A Bad Dream.”
Formed in ’95, the boys from Battle, East Sussex have the basic core lineup of the band intact. Tom Chaplin is behind the mic belting out the tunes and handling guitar, Jesse Quin is on bass, Tim Rice-Oxley is on keyboards, and rounding out this party on wheels is drummer, Richard Hughes.
The North American invasion begins with The Greek in Berkeley, CA on September 4th, stops at LA’s Greek September 5th, Humphreys by the Bay San Diego on September 6th, and then makes stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, New York, and a few points in between. The band plans to add more dates as well.
Pre-sale began September 14th and the general on sale is this Friday. Get ready to get your tickets and celebrate with this rocking band.
