It has already been an insanely cool and insanely crazy week for Kraftwerk. Following the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this weekend, Kraftwerk announced that they are returning to the road!
Like so many others, the band had to cancel their 2020 tour, but now the German lightning bolts are here to put a smile on all our faces.
Dubbed as synth-pop pioneers, they were inducted into the hall of fame by Pharrell at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
Kraftwerk paved the way for electronica / EDM, yet it is hard to believe they just celebrated their 50th anniversary last year! Their induction ceremony featured notable performances by the Foo Fighters, LL Cool J, The Go-Go’s, and Eminem, and now Kraftwerk is part of music history forever
Best known for their mega-hits like “Pocket Calculator,” “Metropolis,” “Computer World,” “The Telephone Call,” “Tour de France,” “The Robots,” and “Trans-Europe Express,” Kraftwerk is ready to amaze us again.
The band has already told us they are building on their 3D visuals, so expect their summer tour to be more animated than ever.
