LORD HURON

MEET

LORD HURON

May 11, 2022 by Nancy Evans

With a title like this, you would think it is about a newbie band, but that’s far from the truth. For those not in the know, Lord Huron calls Los Angeles home and they have done it all over the past decade.
Lord Huron features Ben Schneider (guitarist and lead singer), Tom Renaud (guitar), Miguel Briseño (bass & keys), and Mark Barry (drums). Their collective sound is soulful and magnetic to the heart of all music lovers. They possess a certain persona that passes for alt rock, folk rock, and pop in such a way you can’t do anything but stop and listen to them.

Along their successful ventures, they have been on Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live – this is the mark of success in Hollywood – and their music has been used all over the place. Their mega hit “The Night We Met” was released in 2015, but blew up when it was featured in the Netflix series “13 Reasons Why” in 2017.
The song hit it big on several charts, not just here in the States, but everywhere on the planet. The album, “Strange Trails,” was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, meaning it sold more than one million copies.
Lord Huron fans rejoiced when they dropped a new single, “Not Dead Yet,” last year during their streaming show, “Alive from Whispering Pines.” They would go on release “Mine Forever” and “I Lied” during other episodes of “Alive from Whispering Pines,” and dropped their full album “Long Lost” last May.

It is definitely a good time to jump on board with this band. Despite them being around a decade, they are the shiny new band making the rounds that music fans of all genres are starting to talk about.

You can catch Lord Huron this weekend at BeachLife, then next week as they migrate down to the House of Blues Anaheim on May 23rd. They will spend the summer on the road, so check their calendar for your chance to catch them live in your city.
