After more than a year of delays and cancellations, the British ska band Madness has settled on touring the USA.
Unfortunately fans will have to wait one more year before the festivities reach their home town. The delay will ensure that the band, venues, and eventual crowds will have time to improve Covid protocols, and allow hospital cases to drop to more manageable numbers. With both the US and England easing protocols on shopping and sports venues, concerts remain one aspect of entertainment where it will take a bit more time to make sure they are done safely.
They’ll hit the southland on May 28th with a stop at the Greek Theater with American Ska Royalty the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and English Beat providing support.
2021 Promotional Tour Banner
After a very successful live stream show earlier this month, they will launch their 2021 Ladykiller Tour in November. That tour will take them to great cities like Dublin to Glasgow to Brighton to Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham and London.
In addition to next year’s tour and the live stream, Madness and AMC have announced a three-part documentary titled, “Before We Was We: Madness by Madness.” The documentary premiered May 1st on AMC and YouTube. It has had an incredible response form their fans.
“Before We Was We: Madness by Madness” is a three-part original docu-series which chronicles the rise of one of the biggest and most loved bands in British culture, Madness.
The documentary will include interviews and stories from the members of Madness, and will show previously unreleased pictures and videos of the start of Madness and their journey towards stardom.
It doesn’t seem like anything can or will slow down Madness, including a pandemic. Hold on tight as Madness goes One Step and Beyond!
