In our ongoing That’s Entertainment series, let’s start with… this is not a movie. Yes, I realize that, but, it is a continuation of the original “Masters of The Universe,” and holy crap what an upgrade!
They brought back a bunch of classic favorites and added a spin to a bunch of the characters. It is a direct sequel to the 1983-1985 “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” series, and ignores the “The New Adventures of He-Man.” This one is definitely more for adults, but kids can watch too.
You will probably shed a few tears – I know I did – over the classic characters, plus some crazy stuff happens that’ll throw you for a loop. I’m really happy with the team that wrote this awesome show. Kevin Smith developed this and knocked it out of the park and the voice cast is beyond awesome.
As discussed at Power-Con 2019 and by a NetFlix annoucement, this epic filmation series show features Chris Wood (He-Man), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela), Lena Headey (Evil-Lyn), Mark Hamill (Skeletor), Alicia Silverstone (Queen Marlena), Kevin Conroy (Mer-Man), Diedrich Bader (Trap Jaw), Liam Cunningham (Man-At-Arms), Susan Eisenberg (Sorceress), Kevin Michael Richardson (Beast Man), Henry Rollins (Tri-Klops), and Stephen Root (Cringer).
These are just some of the names from the fantastic cast list that goes on and on. This is definitely one of my favorite shows and I can’t wait for part two.
You can watch “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” on Netflix now. Definitely worth a watch if you want to get in touch with your old He-Man side. By the way, the show is very much for the ladies too…. trust me on that.
