Summer is officially here and it is being kicked off with craziness courtesy of Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas this weekend! This will be one of those weekends where you can see history in the flesh at The Punk Rock Museum (PRM).
As if Sin City doesn’t have enough going on, here is something else to add to your to-do list. PRM has a host of things happening any day of the week, but for the Memorial Day weekend, they have something special planned for us all.
In addition to the great exhibits that encapsulate all aspects of punk rock during every imaginable era, make sure to check out the two newly added international exhibits.
Along with the kick-ass memorabilia, the PRM offers regular tours by the names that made punk what it is today.
Some faces you just might run into this weekend include Roger Mirat of Agnostic Front, John Reis of Rocket from the Crypt, Dez Cadena of Black Flag, Jason Navarro of Suicide Machines, and Karl Alvarez of Descendents.
Additionally, May 28th and 29th has a special screening of “Scream of My Blood” and Eugene Hütz will be the featured speaker.
He will chronicle the rise of his NYC punk band Gogol Bordello and his defiant return to Ukraine. Stick around afterwards for a Q&A by Hütz.
As for live showcases, at the moment the rumor is there will be a few. So far, Chaser and Dwarves have posted on their social media pages you could see them there. Stay tuned as it’s likely there will be a few more added.
The Punk Rock Museum is the place you can catch bands in their natural habitat, playing live for those who like their music loud and in your face, plus all the incredible memorabilia you can reach out and touch from the soundtrack of your life.
