As someone who had the pleasure of growing up in the ‘80s, I couldn’t be happier to announce that Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett are coming to town.
Recently on Twitter, Motley bassist Nikki Sixx replied to a fan, “We 100% plan on touring in 2022. See ya at the show.”
The multi-band, double-postponed stadium tour featuring Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is slated to begin in June. Obviously the postponement was due to the pandemic, so we can’t blame them.
Mötley Crüe, known for their heavy makeup and androgynous good looks, will be bringing the glam metal party with hits like “Girls! Girls! Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” and “Home Sweet Home.” Their last studio album was 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles,” but we did get new songs when they released their bio-pic, “The Dirt.” In addition to Sixx, Motley remains Mick Mars (guitar), Vince Neil (vocals, guitar), and Tommy Lee (drums). The tour will be the band’s first live dates since its 2014-2015 “farewell” tour, and it will be the first time all four artists have toured together.
The hard rock Hall of Famers Def Leppard will be bringing your favorite classic hits off “Pyromania” and “Hysteria.” They have so many great songs: “Animal,” “Let’s Get Rock,” “Hysteria,” and “Armageddon It.” Every time “Photograph” or “Pour Some Sugar On Me” comes on the radio, I turn it up to maximum volume and sing my heart out.
Heading out on the tour will be original members Joe Elliott (vocals), Rick Savage (bass guitar), Rick Allen (drums), and Phil Collen (guitars), along with Vivian Campbell (guitars).
If a little Poison is what you’re after, Bret Michaels and the gang will be bringing the nostalgia with hits like “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Unskinny Bop,” and of course the power ballad, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
In addition to front-man Michaels, Poison is Rikki Rockett (drums), Bobby Dall (bass), and C.C. DeVille (guitar).
As if those three bands were not amazing enough, the queen of rock, Joan Jett, will be along with the Blackhearts. “Bad Reputation, “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Crimson and Clover,” “Do You Wanna Touch Me,” “Make Believe,” “I Hate Myself for Loving You,” are such iconic rock songs, so you need to see them performed live.
The SoCal shows are set to take place August 27th at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, and August 28th at Petco Park in San Diego.
These legends of the ‘80s continue to rock in the ‘20s, so this will be a guaranteed amazing show!
