Multi-platinum selling band Muse is ramping up for their new album with a newly dropped song and a fall tour. The Grammy winners kicked off their summer festival dates this weekend at Rock Am Ring by playing the previously unreleased track “Kill or Be Killed” for the first time; “Will of the People” also made its live debut.
“Will of the People” is also the name of Muse’s upcoming album, which is due August 26th. Front-man Matt Bellamy has stated it is a “greatest hits album….of new songs.” He explained, “That means this album might have a metal track on it – and it’s like, the best metal track we’ve ever done. Or there’s a sort of soft ballad, love song and it’s probably the best ballad love song we’ve ever done, and so on.” Rounding out the band with Bellamy are Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard.
Other new tunes include “Compliance,” and “Won’t Stand Down.” These songs are all doing very well with the faithful.
